1. Assertive:

  • Clear and direct: Assertive communicators express their needs, thoughts, and feelings openly and honestly, while respecting others' perspectives. They use "I" statements, maintain eye contact, and speak with confidence.

  • Strengths: Respected, effective conflict resolution, clear boundaries.

  • Weaknesses: Can be perceived as aggressive if not mindful of tone and delivery.

2. Passive:

  • Indirect and hesitant: Passive communicators shy away from expressing their needs or opinions directly, often fearing conflict or disapproval. They might use vague language, avoid eye contact, and bottle up emotions.
